The town of Ayibontey us a small community which has no toilet facility in the whole community. Maranatha Power Ministries International has a school situated in the area and made the decision to build a toilet facility not just for the school children, but the community at large. The toilet project which was sponsored by Dr. Paula Marshall was opened by Bishop Francis Afotey Odai on 17th March, 2017. This is an eight room toilet facility built close to the school premises for the school and community

Maranatha Bible School under the auspices of the Maranatha Power Ministries held this year's graduation of pastors on 25th March, Seventeen students were graduated after undergoing two years training with diploma. They have been fully equipped for propagating the gospel and winning the lost for Christ. The school which was started on 7th February 2012 has produced more than four hundred graduates most of him are in ministry.

This year’s church leadership conference was held from Thursday 26th January to Tuesday 31st January 2017. Church leaders including pastors and church elders from the various branches throughout the country were part of the retreat which was held at the headquarters at Nungua Adogonno. In his address to the leaders, the presiding Bishop and founder, Bishop Noble Francis Afotey Odai encouraged the church leaders that church planting was war and involved a lot of work but they will be able to prevail by keeping their focus on the Lord and through hard work.

A member of the church at headquarters, Chairman Eric Afotey Odai donated a Toyota Tundra 4X4 vehicle to the General Overseer of the church, Bishop Francis Afotey Odai to aid him in his mission work. This was after he had noticed that the Bishop traveled in saloon cars three times daily every week for missions and realized it was not very safe. He therefore decided to buy him a safer and more durable vehicle that will endure the bad roads that the Bishop travels for missions.

This year’s women’s convention was held at the Maranatha Power Ministries, Koforidua branch from the 15th – 19th February, 2017 under the theme “The complete woman, Proverbs 31”. The host for this program was the first lady of the Maranatha Power Ministries International, Rev. Mrs Valerie Afotey Odai with Minister Shana Cheeks as the guest speaker from USA.
