Every new year eve is a joyous day for most people because it is the time to welcome the new year with much expectations and hope. Last year's watch night service was held at the forecourt of the church headquarters at Nungua Adogonno in Ghana. The watch night service had to be held at the forecourt of the church because the church auditorium could not hold the mass turn up for the service, the space in the building was too small to contain all the people that came for the service.

The service was much attended by joyous celebrants and the presence of God was much felt in the meeting.

Speaking from Psalms 86:17, Bishop in his preaching encouraged the church to be steadfast in God despite their challenges and God was with them to help them. He said no matter how difficult the previous year had been, there is still hope in the Lord and he is their help. He said their enemies will not see them defeated but will sing praises to God when they see his glory in their lives.
